The EAP Residential Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Rebate Program helps homeowners save on eligible high-efficiency heating and cooling systems through instant rebates applied directly to the invoice - no paperwork or waiting for reimbursement checks.
Rebates are available only through participating contractors and apply to qualifying system installations.

How the Rebate Works
- Choose a participating contractor enrolled in the EAP program
- Select a qualifying high-efficiency HVAC system
- Receive the rebate as an instant discount on your invoice at the time of installation
- Enjoy improved comfort, energy efficiency, and long-term savings
Eligible EAP rebates may be combined with PECO rebates, where applicable, to maximize savings.
What Systems Are Eligible
Rebates apply to complete, high-efficiency residential systems, including:
- Heat pump systems
- Central air conditioning systems
- Mini split heat pump systems
Eligibility, rebate amounts, and system requirements vary by program cycle and equipment type.

How do I get an EAP rebate?
Getting an EAP Instant Rebate is simple. There’s no paperwork for you to submit.
- Work with an EAP-participating contractor installing a qualifying system from a participating brand.
- Sign your contract during the program window
- The rebate is applied immediately as a discount on your invoice—there’s nothing you need to submit to the manufacturer or EAP.
- Your contract and invoice should clearly show:
- “EAP Rebate”
- The rebate amount provided by the contractor
- Complete installation by the deadline
Why work with a participating contractor?
- Instant savings: Only participating contractors can provide the instant EAP rebate - applied directly to your invoice.
- Verified and insured professionals: All participating contractors:
- Carry at least $1,000,000 in general liability insurance (aggregate)
- Maintain Workers’ Compensation Insurance, when applicable
- Hold a current Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor registration (PAHIC#)
3. Commitment to professionalism and ethics: Participating contractors agree to follow the EAP Code of Conduct ensuring quality work, transparency, and customer protection.
Can I combine an EAP rebate with other rebates?
- Manufacturer rebates: EAP rebates cannot be combined with other manufacturer rebates.
- Utility rebates: Local utility rebates—such as PECO heating and cooling rebates—may be combined with an EAP rebate if your system meets the utility’s eligibility requirements. View PECO rebates here.
- Help with applications: Your participating contractor may be able to assist you with applying for utility rebates, including PECO. If you need assistance with your PECO rebate, contact us at electric@eap.org.
What are the program restrictions?
Retail purchases are not eligible: equipment purchased from home improvement or other retail stores does not qualify.
Contractor-purchased equipment only: All equipment must be purchased and installed through a participating contractor.
Eligible systems must be complete installations: Rebates apply only to full system installations, including:
Heat pump systems: Outdoor unit and indoor air handler
Central air conditioning systems: Outdoor unit, indoor fan-bearing unit or furnace, and coil
Mini-split heat pump systems: Outdoor unit and all indoor unit(s)
Add-on components are excluded.
Add-on coils alone are not eligible for a rebate.
Project type exclusions: equipment included in project quotes or new construction quotes is not eligible for this offer.
