2026 EAP Educational Foundation Scholarship Recipients

We are pleased to announce the 2026 scholarship recipients and honor the people and organizations who further support our mission.
EAP Scholarship (2 Awards)
The EAP Educational Foundation Scholarship has been supporting the families of EAP member employees since 1995. The EAP Scholarship is open to dependent sons, daughters, and grandchildren of full-time employees of EAP member companies, this scholarship recognizes academic achievement and personal accomplishment in students pursuing higher education in any field of study. To date, the Foundation has awarded more than $250,000 in scholarships to over 135 students.

Jack Beiter Tribute Scholarship
This is the first year this has been awarded.
The Jack Beiter Tribute Scholarship honors the extraordinary legacy of Jack Beiter, who served as President of the EAP Educational Foundation for more than 30 years and helped guide the awarding of over $250,000 in scholarships during his tenure. A World War II veteran, Penn State alumnus, and pioneer in the energy industry, Jack has dedicated his life to service — raising over $1 million for multiple sclerosis research and leading Philadelphia Rotary's efforts to eradicate polio on the island of Madagascar. This $4,000 scholarship, available to dependents of EAP member employees, was established to carry his spirit of generosity and commitment to excellence forward for generations to come.

Ellen Barag Women in Engineering Scholarship
The Ellen Barag Women in Engineering Scholarship was established by G&W Electric in honor of Ellen Barag's career and contributions to the field. Awarded to female high school seniors who are pursuing a degree in engineering at a four-year accredited college or university, this $5,000 scholarship is a commitment to expanding opportunity for women in a field where their voices and talents are essential. It stands as both a tribute to Ellen's professional legacy and an investment in the future of engineering.

Technical Education Scholarship (2 Awards)
The EAP Educational Foundation Technical Education Scholarship was created to support individuals who are pursuing careers in the electrical trades through technical training and vocational education. Recognizing that the strength of our industry depends on a steady pipeline of skilled tradespeople, this $2,000 scholarship is awarded to students actively working toward a future in the electrical field. It reflects the Foundation's belief that technical education is every bit as worthy of investment as a four-year degree.

NextGen Energy Professionals Awards (8 Awards)
The NextGen Energy Professionals Awards recognize outstanding students enrolled in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in the Electrical and HVAC trades across the greater Philadelphia region. Each year, the EAP Educational Foundation presents $500 awards at participating schools' annual awards nights — with recipients selected by their own instructors based on classroom performance, work ethic, and potential in the field. It is a program rooted in the belief that the future of the energy trades is built one exceptional student at a time, and a way for the EAP community to show up directly in the schools training tomorrow's workforce.
