EAP is comprised of electrical contractors of all sizes, who conduct residential, commercial, and industrial work in and around the Greater Philadelphia region.
To join as an electrical contractor, the entity must meet the eligibility requirements outlined below.
Firms, corporations, partnerships, individual proprietorships, and other types of business enterprises that provide work related to the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems.
As part of the application process, you will be required to submit proof of the following (as appropriate):
- Carry and maintain a minimum of $100,000 of general liability insurance
- Please note that a minimum of $500,000 is required to be in the contractor referral program
- Workers compensation insurance (as appropriate)
- Valid HIC Number (if providing residential service)
Key Features/Benefits Available to Electrical Contractors
EAP hosts online and in-person educational courses in the Spring and Fall, led by expert industry instructors. All employees of an EAP member company pay a reduced fee. EAP course may qualify for Delaware, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey CEUs.

EAP can drive business to you through our Contractor Referral Program. A referral source for PECO, customers can locate participating contractors through EAP’s Online Referral Search Portal, or by calling EAP. We refer each customer up to three appropriate contractors, using data supplied by the contractor participants. Referrals are based on the size, type, and location of the job. A rotating system is used to ensure fairness amongst members. Learn more here »
PA One Call:
Normally a $125 annual cost, EAP provides contractor members with PA One Call services, free of charge. Send EAP your unpaid invoice within 6 months of receiving it and we will pay it for you!
