Requesting Rate Change to Electric Heat Service for Heat Pumps

Fall 2008 Rebate Program

Dear Valued Customer:

Thank you for your interest in The Electrical Association of Philadelphia’s Fall 2008 Rebate Program, which can save you up to $800! (Or Energy Tax Credits which might also be available – see your contractor or dealer). Select members of The Electrical Association of Philadelphia’s Heating and Air Conditioning Section are participating in our Spring Rebate Program to make it easier for you to benefit from a heat pump or high-efficiency central air conditioning system. Here’s how the rebate works:

To qualify, you must work with a participating contractor & manufacturer to install one of the following: (click here for a list of contractors) (click here for a list of manufacturers)

Residential High Efficiency Equipment (Manufacturer Approved Matches)

$300 on a 14.0 to 14.99 SEER, 8.0 HSPF (or higher) heat pump system

$300 on a 14.0 to 14.99 SEER central air conditioning system

$500 on a 15.0 to 16.99 SEER, 8.0 HSPF (or higher) heat pump system

$500 on a 15.0 to 16.99 SEER central air conditioning system

$700 on a 17.0 or higher SEER, 8.0 HSPF heat pump system (or higher)

$700 on a 17.0 or higher SEER central air conditioning system

$800 on an 18 EER geothermal heat pump system (or higher)

Additional $100 on a dual fuel heat pump (hybrid) – Minimum 14 SEER, with manufacturer recommended controller. This is NOT a separate rebate.

Small Commercial High Efficiency Equipment

$300 on a 13.0* SEER heat pump or A/C. Split system or packaged. (*13 SEER for 1-5 ton, 10.3 EER 6 tons and up)

The contractor will subtract the rebate from your contract and final invoice, dependant upon the equipment you choose.

(Please see the system requirements above for details). Please be sure this figure is included on your contract and invoice, or your rebate cannot be guaranteed.

Details

Rebates will be offered on full heat pump or central air conditioning systems. For heat pump systems, this means that both the outdoor unit and indoor air handler must be replaced. For central air conditioning systems, this means that the outdoor unit, indoor fan-bearing unit/furnace, and coil must be replaced. Add-on coils only are not eligible for a rebate.

Prior to signing the participating contractor’s work agreement, be sure to request a claim form indicating that you would like to receive this rebate. ONLY participating contractors will have these forms.

This offer is only valid from Monday, September 1, 2008 — Friday, December 5, 2008. All work must be completed during this time frame. Contracts must be signed Monday, September 1, 2008 through Friday, November 14, 2008 (deadline). All systems must be installed by Friday, December 5, 2008.

Monthly Payment

Financing or “Energy Loan” Financing may be available. Ask your contractor.

Other Programs

This offer is not valid in combination with other manufacturer programs, or on new construction.
